Steve and Glyn Rider established Rider and Rider in 1987 and produce hand made fine jewellery in platinum, 18ct gold and silver from their London workshop.

They are members of the Gemmological Association of GB (Gem-A), Steve is a Freeman of the Goldsmiths Company .

By 1993 they had established themselves as specialist platinum jewellers which earned them a place in the Goldsmiths Hall 'Platinum' Exhibition. In 1994 they were finalists in the UK Jewellery Awards for 'Best Platinum Design" category. Work by Rider and Rider was also selected and exhibited at the Goldsmiths Hall 'Palladium Exhibition" of 2009.

Known for their expertise in hand made chain- producing fine jewellery chain in platinum and gold for necklaces and bracelets, Steve was asked to teach a masterclass workshop on platinum at the Metropolitan University of London in 2003.

During their early careers, both Steve and Glyn worked for Bond Street jewellers. There they gained invaluable experience in client led commission work. Commissioned work is an important part of their output and with their wide experience and knowledge of traditional skills and new techniques, have created designs ranging from formal and classic to playful and contemporary.

The commissioning process gives Steve and Glyn an opportunity to work closely with their clients which they find particularly rewarding, the challenge as ever, to interpret the ideas of the client to the delight of the wearer.
